Search Committee Update - June 22
First Christian Church has appointed a Search Committee to conduct the search for a new Senior Minister. The committee is chaired by Alan Parsons. The other members of the group are Patty Rankin, Kathy Olliges, Gary Fogle, Tonya Bordy, Scott Lanter, Gracelyn Jack and Amanda Stratton. Stephen Ministers July 2021
by Penny Brill First Christian Church has some more exciting news to share. During the shut down of all things public, three of our members have been forging ahead in some very meaningful ways. We are going to Commission a new Stephen Minister and two new Stephen Leaders on July 8th in the Atrium. Pam Platt has committed to extensive training (Zooming) over many weeks to become a very welcome member of FCC's Stephen Ministry Team. We are all elated to have her on the ready to
CASA of the River Region
Last year, in the middle of chaos and uncertainty, 215 incredible individuals with hearts for healing answered the call to become court appointed special advocates (CASAs). CASA volunteers are friends, mentors and advocates to the most vulnerable children in Kentucky. It was this demonstration of unwavering dedication that allowed CASA of the River Region to fulfill its mission during the pandemic year. Wonderful things are happening all around First Christian Church. First, we all owe a huge Thank You to Rev. Terry Minton for his 4 months at the helm steering us through online services to social distancing in our sanctuary and now to opening up to all who wish to worship indoors.
