On Sunday, August 24 we 'dug' into Climate Justice!

We learned:

• About Homegrown National Park and how each family can get on the map

• How to find out what kind of Climate Super Hero we each are

• That recycling does NOT go straight to the dump and an invitation to an FCC field trip for a processing plant tour (contact Gina to sign up!)

• About the 4 worst invasive plants here in our area and how to get rid of them.

• Tips for simple ways we can be more environmentally-friendly at home

• How to make a mosquito bucket and maybe "fire" the guys who spray next year (and all the reasons why).

• How to plant native plants and that there will be a seed scattering Sunday this fall at FCC.

• Some scary facts about climate change, some uncomfortable facts about climate justice, and some "slightly less apocalyptic facts" aka the better news
