Dreaming God's Dream

Stories are the heartbeat of our faith.

The sacred stories of scripture expand our understanding of who God is and how God shows up in the world. The stories of our own lives are powerful reminders of how we experience God’s dreams for us and through our church.

The stories will hear in worship bear witness to the ways we are Dreaming God’s Dream together. The ministry we share here at FCC Louisville happens because of the ways you give - of your time and talents and of your financial resources. Thank you!

Every year, we ask everyone in our congregation to prayerfully and carefully discern their passions and priorities and decide how to align their money with those. This year has been exciting with our successful capital campaign and our hopes for a new HVAC in the coming year.  Stewardship a spiritual practice, we know as people of faith, what we give to God through the church is a reflection of our values. Likewise, how our church stewards its money is a reflection of who we believe God is calling us to be next.

My gift to our congregation is an expression of my gratitude for all God has dreamed for us. I’m so grateful to see our membership increasing by nine new members this last year, to continue our ecumenical work with Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church and Springdale Presbyterian for Build a Bed and Fall Festival, and our increased education around being a church that does justice and formation through Sunday school and classes for all ages, including our new Men’s Bible study on Wednesdays.

I hope you will join me in making a commitment to give in 2026. These commitments represent an estimate of what we intend to give out of gratitude for all God has and will dream for our lives.

We will receive and celebrate the intentions we set for the year ahead on Commitment Sunday as part of worship on November 2, 2025.  As part of our celebration, I hope you will bring your commitment card and join us for worship.

Thank you for walking alongside me as a part of First Christian Church of Louisville.

Blessings,

ree
