Weekend of Work and Fun at Church Camp

Camp Wakon’ Da-Ho is holding a Work Weekend and Retreat on March 18-20 for youth (sixth grade and older) and adults. This will be a weekend of fun, worship, fellowship, and work to get the camp ready for this summer.

Some of the projects include:

• Building a small porch

• Indoor and outdoor painting

• Clearing downed trees and limbs

• Cutting firewood

• Mulching

• Setting up the campfire circle

• Fixing the washed-out areas of the driveway

• Clean-up of the dining hall/counselor area.

It looks like there’s a project for any age and skill level!

If you would like to join us, please let Rev. Merideth know by March 6. There are forms to fill out and a cost of $20/per person for the weekend. FCC can help with cost if needed.

On that weekend, Merideth will meet everyone at the church at 5:00 p.m. It’s about a 2 hour drive so we’ll grab some dinner on the way. Once we arrive, there will be about 2 hours of activities and then work begins at 9 am Saturday morning! Sunday worship is at 10 am so we anticipate getting back to Louisville by around 1 p.m.
