First Christian Provides Supplies and Enrichment Opportunities for Local Students
While the North Oldham School District is home to many affluent students, there are also those who come from low income families. While the school is able to provide some additional support of these students, they can't meet every need that comes up.
Through a grant from First Christian, North Oldham Middle School guidance counselors have been able to purchase backpacks and fill them with school supplies, hygiene products, and other items they may need to be successful students.
Additionally, the grant is also providing funding for low income students to attend field trips they otherwise would not be able to afford as well as purchasing items of clothing for students who are in need.
