FCC Helps Eastern Area Community Ministries Provide Essential Services to NE Jefferson County
Eastern Area Community Ministries provides emergency and supportive services to families in Northeast Jefferson County.
From free diaper assistance to meals on wheels delivery and a lot in between, EACM is there to make sure that no family in our community goes without their basic needs met.
The food pantry serves approximately 300 families per month with staples like rice, beans, cereal and canned vegetables. The Emergency Assistance program provides of $100,000 in annual funds to prevent evictions and maintain utility services in homes and apartments. EACM also partners with families to respond to the obstacles and barriers to stability that cause crisis to arise in households by matching individuals with mentors, conducting financial education, and job coaching.
The monetary support of First Christian Church ensures that EACM can continue to work towards our vision of a community where every person is empowered to be fed, sheltered, and safe.
