Christmas Caroling! Dec. 15, 6:00 p.m.

I am excited as we fast approach this Advent season. It is a day of anticipation as we prepare to celebrate the day Christ was born. It is also a reminder that one day Christ will return again. Let the Biblical record show that the birth of Christ did not happen in secret, but rather in the high courts of the heavens. Angels proclaimed the birth of Christ in the open sky. Shepherds witnessed this marvelous act, men traveled long distances to see the Son of God born of a virgin. God shared this gift of Christ to the world, with the world, and not just the chosen ones.

This holiday season - with the leadership of Rev. Jamesetta Ferguson, pastor of St. Peters United Church of Christ - along with other Russell churches and Russell community members, the Russell Neighborhood will have its first annual Russell Community Christmas Caroling event Friday, December 15 at 6PM. This is an opportunity for the faith community and the community at large to share publicly in a sacred moment. The group will meet at 6:00 p.m. at 15th & Jefferson at the Family Dollar (address is 1419 W. Jefferson Street, 40203). Everyone is invited!

If you have any questions or concerns please email Betty Adkins or call (502) 797-9531. To God be the glory for the things he has done. Betty J. Adkins
