Camping with Albert
Albert Haas is inviting all of our church family to come and experience God’s beauty for an afternoon, an evening, or an overnight stay at beautiful Sycamore Springs Park in English, IN, about an hour from Louisville. The park is a family-friendly facility with several playgrounds, electricity, water, restrooms, and bathhouses. Bring your camp chairs, something to eat and enjoy the great outdoors and getting to know a wonderful older member of our church family a little better. If you want to tent camp, Albert has a site that will accommodate up to 4 tents and the park provides firewood.
Additionally, this year, Albert has requested to be re-baptized in the Little Blue River at Sycamore Springs Park. Sandy Selby will be at Sycamore Springs on 7/15/18 to perform the service sometime after 3:00 PM. If there are other members of our congregation that would like to be baptized or re-baptized in the river by Sandy, please contact the church office. We have reserved the Riverside Patio Shelter, which is at the baptismal site for a gathering after the service. Because the two campsites can only accommodate up to 4 tents, we will need to know if and when you plan to come and stay overnight. Please contact Gilbert Darnell at 502-523-0387 or e-mail Gilbert to schedule dates or to provide any additional information. WHEN: Anytime between 7/1/18 and 7/15/18. WHERE: Campsites 36E and 37E. These campsites will accommodate four tents. Sycamore Springs Park 717 W.
