Wednesday Night Online Class
Genesis: A Beginner’s Guide to the Beginning
Wednesdays, beginning Nov. 4 • 7–8 p.m. • Online
Facilitated by Rev. Drexel & Patty Rankin

Join us for a six-session video study of Genesis, led by biblical scholar Amy-Jill Levine and facilitated by Rev. Drexel & Patty Rankin. Together, we’ll explore some of the Bible’s most familiar—and fascinating—stories: creation, the Garden of Eden, Cain and Abel, Noah, Abraham and Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.
Levine brings her signature blend of historical context, theological insight, and engaging storytelling to these ancient narratives, inviting us to look at them with fresh eyes. Along the way, we’ll explore questions of identity, responsibility, rivalry, loss, judgment, mercy, promise, and what it means to be human.
Whether you’re encountering Genesis for the first time or returning to these stories with new questions, this study offers a thoughtful and accessible way to discover why these ancient stories still matter.
Six sessions. One study. Lots of questions, surprises, and opportunities to see Genesis in a whole new way.
