In-Person Prayer and Communion - April 1 & 2

As we approach Holy Week this year, the FCC staff has been working hard to find meaningful ways to help you engage in worship.

We are planning virtual services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, the Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday, which will all be available on our website. In addition to these online services, we would also like to offer you the opportunity to be in the sanctuary for a short time of prayer and meditation during Holy Week.

We will be hosting 15 minute windows for prayer and meditation on Maundy Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. and on Good Friday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the First Christian Church of Louisville sanctuary. You MUST reserve your time slot. Click here to RSVP. You will have time for private prayer and meditation, we will provide communion and Rev. Terry Minton will pray with the group.

For us to be able to worship in the sanctuary safely, please note the following:

  • Masks will be required at all times while in the building and must cover your nose and mouth. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one.

  • We will take your temperature when you arrive. We ask that you cancel your reservation and do not come to the church if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or contact with COVID-19 in the two weeks prior to Holy Week.

  • Individuals and families will be seated at least 6-feet from other individuals and families. We ask that your group consist of only those who live in your household.

  • Bathrooms will be available for emergency use ONLY.

  • Please do your best to arrive a few minutes before your time slot. If you arrive late for your window, we will move your reservation to the next available time slot so that those already engaged in prayer are not disturbed.

  • We can not provide childcare but children are always welcome to join us in the sanctuary. Children age 6 and up must be masked.

  • If you would like to visit with others in attendance, please do so outside. We ask that you stay masked and maintain social distance.
