In FCC Youth Group this year, kids 4th grade and up are invited to attend. We'll divide up by age during that 2 hour time slot.

Summer Mission Trip
July 28 to August 2
Our summer mission trip is going to be DIFFERENT and AMAZING this summer. We are planning on attending General Assembly in Louisville, KY. It’s a gathering for ALL AGES of people who are members of a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from all over the world.
What will be different from mission trips of the past is that we will be coming home to our own beds each night since it is in Louisville. There will also be more of a focus on who we are as members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and what we believe as a whole church.
What will be amazing about this mission trip is that we will meet up with others from all over the country and we will get to experience worshiping with thousands of other people and learn about some of the great things people are doing to seek justice.
We are still awaiting final details on what all of our activities will be throughout General Assembly. Here’s what I know so far:
WHO: This mission trip is open to 6th grade and up. I am also looking for some adult sponsors to do all the activities with the youth.
WHAT: General Assembly with LOTS of other youth from Louisville and all over the place!
WHEN: Friday, July 28 - Tuesday, August 2 from 8 am to 9 pm
*There will be a few pre-trip gatherings TBD
WHERE: Convention Center in Downtown Louisville
*We will meet at a location each day (possibly FCC) to ride there together and return to that location each evening for pick up.
COST is $100 per person. $50 is due by April 1 to reserve your spot. Final $50 is due by June 1. *Scholarship or help covering this cost is available.
WHY: To learn about our church, to meet others from all over, to do mission work in our own community with others and so much more!
