General Description: The person serving in this position will be primarily responsible for coordinating all ministries related to children ages birth to 5th grade as well as related ministries for their families. Responsibilities will also include participating in pastoral care, visitation, and worship leadership, including preaching.


Duties will include: Develop, implement, and review regular children’s ministry programming including faith related service, educational, spiritual, and fellowship opportunities with special emphasis on Sunday morning. Recruit, train, and provide regular support to children’s ministry leaders. Provide regular ministry and care for families of children ages birth to 5th grade. Hire, schedule, and manage all paid caregivers for children and infants. Maintain and provide regular communication regarding ministries to children and their families. Build bridges with First Kids, our early childhood development program, and their families. Regularly serve in pastoral leadership through caring ministries and regular worship leadership, including preaching. (Full job description available upon request.)


This is a salaried full-time position. Mandatory hours of job will include Sunday morning from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and attendance at a weekly staff meetings. Remaining hours are flexible depending on program requirements.


Salary: Very Competitive Based on Education and Experience (contact for range).

Basic Qualifications: Seminary degree and ordination within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) preferred but other candidates will be considered based on education level, experience, and theology. Successful candidate must be willing to work in a diverse environment and provide care to those across theological, political, and cultural ideologies. Candidate must also be willing to serve and fully include people regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, and disability.
