Congregational Meeting - October 31, 2021

First Christian Church of Louisville will hold a

Congregational Meeting on Sunday, October 31

immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be only ONE service that Sunday.

Make plans to attend this important service to consider the senior minister candidate unanimously approved by the Senior Minister Search Committee and FCC Board. Your attendance is an important expression of thanks and support for the Senior Minister Search Committee and FCC. The service and meeting will be streamed to the gym for those who don’t feel comfortable gathering in the sanctuary.

For those who cannot be at the church on October 31st we are providing secure Zoom access to the 10:30 a.m. worship service and congregational meeting. Those viewing by Zoom will also be able to vote on the candidate simultaneously with those present at the church. No replay will be available. If interested, you MUST pre-register for this virtual meeting no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27. Registrants will receive detailed instructions on Thursday, October 28. After 10 months of incredibly hard work, our search committee has selected a candidate to be the next Senior Minister at FCC. The Board of FCC met October 19th and accepted the nomination of the candidate. Now, this candidate will be presented to the entire congregation for a vote at a congregational meeting immediately following the 10:30 service October 31. There will be only one service, at 10:30 a.m., that Sunday.

The candidate will give the sermon at the service and stay a few minutes after for an informal meet and greet. After the candidate leaves, the congregation will receive the search committee’s nomination and vote whether to call the candidate as the next Senior Minister of First Christian. If you cannot attend and prefer to vote by proxy, please notify someone who will be in attendance how you choose to vote. He/she will fill out a proxy slip at the meeting indicating your vote.
