An Important Message from our Senior Minister

Dear Members and Friends of First Christian Church,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I have accepted the call to serve as Senior Minister of Middletown Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) beginning February 15, 2021.

Serving First Christian Church for the past eighteen years has been one of the greatest privileges of my lifetime. There are no words for how much this church has meant to me and my family. I will always be grateful for the journey we have shared.

I will continue serving First Christian until January 31, 2021, at which time I will take a couple of weeks of rest and renewal. Between now and then, I will be doing everything I can to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Dean Phelps, the Transitional Regional Minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Kentucky met with our church board on Monday, December 14th, to discuss the congregation’s next steps. He will be of tremendous support to FCC in the days ahead.

I wish nothing but the best for this church’s future and believe that God will guide First Christian to a bright and promising future. You are indeed a beacon of hope in this world.
