A Child of FCC Sees a Need and Takes Action to Care for the Homeless

While helping her grandmother serve the homeless, 9-year-old FCC member Abby noticed that while there were tables for setting out food and care items, members of the homeless community who came to receive help had to sit on the ground.

So Abby took action!

She wrote a wholeness grant asking FCC to help her purchase tables so that no one had to sit on the ground anymore.

In the video above, you can hear from Abby herself and see the results of her efforts. Video footage was supplied by WLKY News in Louisville. They are putting together a full feature video of the story.

The wholeness grant used to fund this ministry was made possible through your faithful financial support of our church and its ministries and help fund a variety of efforts to make our world a better place.
