Join Us For Our Online Faith Study
This Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
These are uncertain times and many of us are experiencing increased fear, worry, and anxiety. Making things even harder is the fact that we are also isolated from many of the groups and places where we find comfort. To help bring you a sense of comfort and hope, First Christian Church of Louisville will be hosting an online study about how we can live with courage and hope in the midst of our current challenges. The study will be based on Adam Hamilton's book, "Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times." You do not have to buy the book to participate and each session is independent of the others so join when you can. Together, we will explore the following topics: Understanding and Countering Fear Illness, Aging, Dying, and Fear of the Lord Loneliness, Insignificance, Failure, and Disappointing Others Finances, Change, and Missing Out Politics, Race, Terrorism, and Crime
The sessions will be led by Brian Gerard with help from our staff. Attending is easy! All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with video camera capabilities and access to the internet. If you have never used ZOOM before, please follow this link for instructions - don't worry, it is super easy! At (or just before) 10:00 a.m. this Sunday, follow this link on your computer https://zoom.us/j/8945199006 or enter the following meeting ID in your device app: 894-519-9006 It is a live session, so please try to be there on time and the meeting will be locked a few minutes after 7:00. After signing in to the meeting you will be placed in a waiting room for approval.
When you enter the meeting room, your microphone will be muted. Please leave it muted until you speak. This will keep the background noise to a minimum. Friends, we will get through all of this better if we get through it together. We look forward to seeing you there! ps - We also did a sermon series on this book at the beginning of 2020. If you'd like to re-visit those messages, they can be found here.
