1. Our goal is for the children to make 200 packages of Snowman Soup to hand out! That means that for 8 weeks 25 packages have to be made each Sunday. I believe that is a goal we can achieve. My first Sunday here (November 17) about 25 were made! I want to encourage you and your families to keep the kids coming! It is amazing what we can do when we work together!
2. Making the packages of Snowman Soup is not the end of the story! The children will have the opportunity to pass out these packages. Coming up, we plan to share what we have made with men and women and other CHILDREN in our community. Please watch for more details to come about this event.
3. If Sunday morning hasn’t worked this round of activities for your child(ren) to join us, you could always make your own Snowman Soup with your family. There are lots of shelters who would love these packages of Snowman Soup, but there is one rule if you go rogue, just sayin’! You have to take pictures of your family enjoying this opportunity to serve our community! Please contact Merideth for help with this!
Our next Sunday morning project is Bags of Love; bags full of basic items to keep in your car or some other location and hand it out to someone in need. We will send out more information about these bags at the start of the New Year. Making of these Bags of Love will start in January and go until mid-February. Much like the Snowman Soup, the story doesn’t end on Sunday morning. Sunday, February 16 we will have an All Church Potluck where everyone will have the opportunity to make a Bag of Love and share in a meal as a church family.
