We know that visiting a church for the first time is not always the easiest thing to do. Our hope is that the information provided on this page will help your first visit to our church as comfortable as possible.
What can I expect as a visitor? 
You can expect for us to greet you warmly before each worship service, but not overwhelm you. You are free and encouraged to investigate our church and spiritual matters on your own terms and at your own pace. No pressure. Guaranteed. If you want more information about our ministries and how to get involved please ask for someone to introduce you to a staff person or you can look for someone wearing a gold nameplate that reads "Elder."
How do I get there?
First Christian Church is located at 77OO US Highway 42. While our parking lot is directly accessible off of US 42, you might find it easier to enter the parking lot off of Wolf Pen Branch Road. Hopefully the map displayed at the bottom of the page will help you find your way, but if you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Where do I go when I get there?
As you face the church from the parking lot, you will find two primary entries to the church. To go directly to the sanctuary, follow the blue sign marked sanctuary that will lead you to between the main buiding and the "house on the hill." The sanctuary is directly inside the red doors.
If you have children, or if it is raining, you may want to enter through the covered entrance. Once inside those doors, the sanctuary can be accessed by going up the stairs directly inside and turning right. If you need to use the elevator, take the ramp that will be on your right upon entering the building. The elevator is just beyond the end of that ramp on your right.
What about my children?
All children are welcome at First Christian and we want their visit to be a great experience. A loving, dedicated nursery along with Sunday School opportunities are available each weekend (for more information visit our childrens ministry page). Pagers are available for parents of infants and toddlers. Allow a few extra minutes the first time you attend to get you and your child comfortably oriented.
Children are also welcome to sit with you in worship. There are packets with books and crayons to help them feel welcomed. If you child becomes too disruptive, please feel free to worship in our "cry area" which is located just outside the sanctuary, across from the elevator. From there you can see, hear, and fully participate in worship.
What do I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable. Most of our worshippers dress fairly casually, most in what could best be described as business casual. But many wear jeans in the winter and shorts in the summer.
